While I began writing about medical exercise and how to best manage medical conditions with exercise, I quickly expanded the weekly subject matter to include articles about general health and fitness, mindset and mindfulness, healthy eating, active aging, athletic training, fat loss, muscle building and lifestyle. The information in the articles comes from my 35+ years of experience as a professional athlete, certified personal trainer, boot camp coach, life coach and medical exercise specialist. It also comes from interviews and work with colleagues who are experts in areas that are outside of my professional scope of practice and from interviews with real-life people whose stories are inspiring and enlightening.
This compilation of articles doesn’t not read like a story. The reader can think of it as a smorgasbord of ideas that can be sampled in any order that they prefer. They should feel comfortable jumping around, sampling… and applying information as they go. Or read it in chronological order like any other book. The beauty is that there is no right or wrong way to consume this information. There will be times when one lesson is more relevant to you than at others. Use it in the way that works best for you.
