This week your book is going to get the attention it deserves. Along with receiving inspiration from the beautiful surroundings.

Check your email in a little while after you have savored the moment of realizing that you’re going to Italy! We’ve sent you a little more information about what you can expect in the time we have before we leave and a few things that you can do to prepare for the trip. It will be here before you know it!

For one week, you’ll stay in Umbria at Locanda della Quercia Calante, where you will wake up surrounded by rolling hills, gather with other writers, and spend real time working on the book you want to bring into the world.

And because we believe some of the best ideas come when you leave the desk for a while, this retreat also gives you the chance to experience Italy. You’ll enjoy planned excursions, wonderful meals, and time to simply enjoy where you are.

FAQs

Q: Do I need to have a passport?

A: Yes. You will need a valid passport.

Q: What does the retreat cost?

A: The cost of  the trip $4,999. This includes your meals, accommodation, writing workshops, and scheduled excursions.

Q: Will airfare be included in the cost?
A: No. You will be responsible for your own airfare.
Q: Will all meals be provided?

A: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for the entire stay and are included in your cost. Any additional food you require will be your responsibility.

Q: What if I would like to tour more of the area?
A: You’re more than welcome to come early or stay later to give yourself time to explore. This is not included in your cost.
Q: Can I bring a guest with me?

A: Yes, you are welcome to bring a guest that will share your room. The cost for the trip is per person. If your guest plans to be writing with us and will be participating in the writing workshops, they will pay the regular price of $4,999. However, if your guest does not intend to participate in the writing workshops, their cost will be $3,499. 

Q: Do you offer refunds?

A: Refunds are not available for From Pen to Paper. The number of participants is limited, and upon registration, you agree to pay the full price for the room and experience reserved on your behalf. We encourage all participants and guests to purchase Travel Insurance.
