Why should I be part of this collaborative book?
HER Legacy is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to honor Elaine LaLanne’s incredible legacy—and share your own in the process. By joining this book, you’re stepping into a powerful moment in time, where women are rising to lead with purpose, strength, and story. This is about being part of a collective voice that will live on far beyond the page.
What’s expected from me as a writer?
You’ll have the opportunity to write either a shorter chapter of up to 1,000 words or a longer feature of up to 3,000 words—depending on the level of participation you choose.
I’m not a writer. Can I still do this?
Absolutely. We’re not looking for perfection—we’re looking for heart.
Our editors and writing coaches will help you shape your chapter so it reflects your voice, your message, and your impact. If you can speak your truth, we can help you write it beautifully.
What if I have ideas but I don’t like writing?
You don’t have to write it the “traditional” way. Many of our authors use tools like Rev.com or voice memos to speak their stories aloud. From there, we’ll help you turn your thoughts into a polished, powerful chapter.
What is the process?
Once your application is accepted and you’ve selected your contribution level you’ll be welcomed into the HER Legacy author group.
As soon as we have our group of co-authors confirmed, we’ll kick things off with a group call to introduce everyone, walk you through the timeline, and assign your next steps. From there, you’ll begin working on your chapter—with the support of coaching, writing guidance, and a team that’s with you every step of the way.
We’ll help you develop your ideas, refine your message, and shape your story into a piece you’re proud of. Once your final draft is complete, we take care of everything else—from editing and proofreading to formatting and publishing.
At the end of the process, you’ll hold a beautifully produced book in your hands—and know that your story is now part of something meaningful, lasting, and globally shared.
What can I do with this book after it’s published?
You’ll be a published author in a high-visibility, globally promoted book.
Use it to build your brand, increase credibility, attract speaking opportunities, or simply share your story with pride. It becomes your business card, your conversation starter, your legacy.
And yes—it feels really good to say you’re a bestselling author.
Is there a cost to participate?
Yes. This is a professionally curated publishing project, and each co-author contributes to help cover editing, design, production, and global promotion. You’ll have two options to choose from:
Level 1 – Contributor
Write up to 1,000 words for an investment of $1,000.
Level 2 – VIP Experience
Write up to 3,000 words for an investment of $2,995 and receive everything in Level 1 plus a private invitation to tour Jack LaLanne’s estate.
Whichever level you choose, you’ll be part of something deeply meaningful, with support every step of the way.
Will I receive copies of the book?
As a co-author, you’ll have the opportunity to order printed copies of HER Legacy at an exclusive discounted author rate. Many contributors choose to use their books as gifts, lead generators, or products they sell at events. You can order as many as you like—this is your story to share!
