From Pen to Prose
The Scriptor Pen to Prose Book Award celebrates the creativity and dedication of authors published through Scriptor Publishing Group. This award recognizes excellence across fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and children’s literature, while also offering authors meaningful recognition and valuable promotional opportunities.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Scriptor Pen to Prose Book Award, books must meet the following criteria:
- Must have been published by Scriptor Publishing Group
- Must have been published between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2025
- Must not have won a book award in previous Pen to Prose Awards
- Must be a full-length book, either fiction or non-fiction
- Can be a collection of poetry
- Can be a children’s book
Not Eligible:
- Cookbooks
- Collaborative books with multiple authors
Award Categories
Entries will be considered in four categories: Fiction, Non-fiction, Poetry, and Children’s Books. One finalist will be named in each category, with an overall winner selected from among the finalists.
Prizes
Overall Winner Receives:
- A personalized plaque recognizing their achievement
- $250 in cash
- A $250 credit toward our next international writing retreat
- A special podcast episode devoted to the book and author
- Promotion through social media and newsletters from Scriptor Publishing Group and Todd Durkin Enterprises
- A From Pen to Prose Award badge to be added to the author’s book cover
- Recognition on the Scriptor Publishing Group Website
Finalists Receive:
- A From Pen to Prose Finalist badge added to the author’s book cover
- Promotion through Scriptor Publishing Group and Todd Durkin Enterprises on social media and in their newsletters
- $100 credit toward our next international writing retreat
- Recognition on the Scriptor Publishing Group Website
Submission Process
To enter, submit your entry fee of $50 by May 31, 2026 using the button below. After payment, you will receive your official entry form and directions for sending us your book.
