He earned a black belt in Kenpo Karate in 1975. He later learned from tremendous instructors in Kenpo, Yoga, Wing Chun, weight training with Vince Gironda and Frank Zane, as well from the dance, ballet, and movement instructors at the American Conservatory Theater. These coaches helped Kirk make an impact on physical education and fitness training for men, women, and children.
In 1981, Kirk became one of the first personal trainers to help players in the NFL. Later Kirk made a huge impact on the Morning Stretch TV show in the 1980’s. During his time as a guest and as Music Coordinator, the show grew in syndication from 10 markets to over 100 in the USA.
Today Kirk lives with his wife and kids in Indianapolis, IN.
