Kirk grew up, like many children today, in a family that started out like a dream and ended in a divorce. His parent’s divorce took place in January of 1965. He was stuck in a toxic environment, and as he got older, the question he needed to answer was how anyone could rise above the toxic, daily divorce stress.

He earned a black belt in Kenpo Karate in 1975. He later learned from tremendous instructors in Kenpo, Yoga, Wing Chun, weight training with Vince Gironda and Frank Zane, as well from the dance, ballet, and movement instructors at the American Conservatory Theater. These coaches helped Kirk make an impact on physical education and fitness training for men, women, and children.

In 1981, Kirk became one of the first personal trainers to help players in the NFL. Later Kirk made a huge impact on the Morning Stretch TV show in the 1980’s. During his time as a guest and as Music Coordinator, the show grew in syndication from 10 markets to over 100 in the USA.

Today Kirk lives with his wife and kids in Indianapolis, IN.

Kirk is a popular speaker for youth groups, schools, and organizations. “His Rest but Don’t Quit” philosophy is an eternal message to help people get motivated to take back their health and fitness. Go on a quest to be your best!
